"Shrines of Hope"

In this class you will learn some simple assemblage techniques while creating your tiny shrine of HOPE.  Design a special alter for a family member or dear friend-maybe somone who needs your support.  Create a visual reminder for yourself and keep it on your desk at work or place it in a quiet nook in your studio.  Each shrine measures about 6 inches high by 2 inches wide and portrays a single powerful message; be it faith.love,peace, dream, believe, create,etc.  Combine tiny bottles, beads, German Scrap paper, collage images, and so much more to  create these tiny visions of HOPE.  Once learned, these techniques can be used to create holiday ornaments, a holiday village, placecards for a fun gathering,special gifts for teachers and coworkers as well as family and friends.  To keep for  yourself or to give away-these little shrines of HOPE are sure to bring joy to your heart and a sense of peace to your soul. 
Carol will have kits made up for you including a pre-made ready to decorate house, German Scrap trim,many collage images to choose from,a sheet of words or positive affirmations, paints, bottles, mirrors,brads, flowers,tiles, dominoes,wooden shapes for feet,keys,fibers, small jewels, buttons,2 foam brushes, and more.  Alphabet letters for the words will be included but will be randomly added the kits.
