If you missed Carol’s Christmas Encaustic classes and want to experience the ins and outs of encaustics, this is the class for you. Learn how to create these unique valentine delights using encaustic irons and waxes. You’ll be designing the card panels using black and white images while adding in some extra goodies and lots of color. With time permitting, you will create 3 card panels, which later can be applied to your own blank cards.

“Vintage Valentines” is a great class for those of you who just want to practice your encaustic skills as well as being a wonderful introductory class for “newbies.”
This class will be limited to only 12 students. Sign up early as Carol’s encaustic classes always fill up quickly. Carol will provide the irons, encaustic colored waxes, fabric, collage images, and several colors of cardstock for the card panels.

Please bring:
encaustic iron if you have one
one clear and one white block of wax
one silver or gold block of wax (your choice)
double stick tape
one U-Hu gluestick
paper trimmer and scissors

Welcome to Encaustics pastel style. A new twist on Carol’s traditional Valentine colors; a bit more subdued and dainty. Learn how to lighten up the palette and incorporate colored images to your designs. Unlike the first class, you will be adding in pre-stamped sayings and music notes, script, etc. The combination of pastel colors and black stampings adds a bit of unexpected depth and interest to the panels. Time permitting; you will construct 3 card panels, which later can be applied to your own blank cards. “Encaustic Panels” is a great class for the beginner as well as the seasoned encaustic artist.

one or two clear wax blocks and one white wax block
