Angel Policy: Please read through my angel policy before taking classes- I think is very reasonable. All I ask is that you don't teach my classes or any part of them and that you NOT send in anything in for publication to any mag. or book. (Obviously because I'm planning on doing that) Please feel free to make and SELL the items you create giving me credit when possible. You could just say- inspired by a class I took with Carol Murphy and then give my website or something like that. That would in turn make money for both of us as I might gain some new students and you could sell your items made in my classes. Also, please try to change things up a bit and maybe use a different face, fabric, fibers, etc. People shouldn't look at your dolls and say," Oh that's one of Carol Murphy's pieces." I want to inspire you to explore techniques, products, and ideas. All I ask is that you please respect my art and my time. Hopefuly this seems fair to everyone. Let's be honest here- I know times are hard and we're all looking for ways to broaden our income. I know that most of you are not taking my classes to make a piece to give to Aunt Matilda. Just try to remember the above mentioned stipulations and feel free to SELL, keep, or give away your creations made from my classes. Combine beautiful Graphic 45 papers, beads, laces, and more to create this gorgeous heart pocket complete with beaded hanger, gift card holder, card panel. and two darling tags. Keep all the cards in the heart pocket and give as a gift to that special friend or family member-or-give the cards out separately and keep the heart pocket to house all your Valentine cards. You can add other goodies to the heart pocket as well. What about some handmade flowers, candy, or handmade stationery? What a cute presentation for that special teacher to hold pencils and pens, a notebook, a little calendar, and some praise notes for the students. Add some friend quotes and a spa day gift certificate with a few spa goodies for your best friend. There are so many alternatives to this project and we’re sure you’ll find countless possibilities once you learn the basic techniques. Valentine “LOVE” Book February 11 10:30-1:30 $29.00 What a darling little book to create for A “LOVE” present !! You will be using the gorgeous Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings papers and four precut LOVE book pages to assemble this unique little album. Each page will hold special pockets and tags to safe keep all those “LOVE” memories or whatnots. The LOVE book is versatile and is not only for Valentine’s Day. Think of creating one for a best friend or loved one, maybe a little anniversary book for a family member or a “Things I love about you” for a daughter, mom, sister, or that favorite niece. Combine beautiful papers, flowers, your choice of tulle for the binding, assorted vintage images, and more to create this little album for your special someone. Steampunk Valentine Wall Art February 11 2:30-5:00 $29.00 Combine metal findings, wire, beads, keys, charms, gorgeous Graphic 45 papers and more to create this one of a kind wall art piece. The deep teal green and copper color, meshed with mixed metals gives this piece a true vintage feel. What a nice way to decorate that little forgotten space, a hallway or an entry, maybe an enclosed porch or patio. This is one of a few pieces that Carol will have featured on the Graphic 45 Featured Artist Spot By Carol Murphy appearing in the Graphic 45 website blog article on January 26. Carol will provide the precut hearts and papers, lots of mixed metal pieces, precut chipboard gears, word sticks, word tokens, and keys. (The sun/moon charms at the bottom of the piece are not included) Please bring: UHU glue stick, fast grab white glue or your favorite glue for attaching the metal pieces. Something like E 6000 is not necessary for this project. Any extra charms or gears you would like to use and jewelry pliers if you have them.
